Hello parents of Entry ball players:
My name is Jen Robbins, and I, along with Andrea Smith, will be the Directors of the Entry ball program for 2019. We are approximately a month away from the start of the program, and I thought I would send out some information so that parents can start to plan.
All our practices with be at the Stettler Sports Park (across the street from Points West) on the ATCO and TransCanada diamonds. All our practices will be Tuesday and Thursdays 4:00 to 4:30 starting May 7 until June 20. We have 3 teams this year (see attached team rosters), and each team will need at least 3-4 parents that can help out on the diamond. You do not need to have any ball experience, just need an extra set of hands. If you are willing to help out, please email Jen at firstname.lastname@example.org, and she will add you to the coach email list where direction will be given on how to run each station during practices.
Each player should come with a hat, glove and water; and should have sunscreen and bug spray applied. There are bats and helmets available for players, but feel free to bring your own if you would like.
The theme of this year is to have fun, get the kids interested in ball, do the same drills over and over to learn basic skills, and keep them safe. We aren’t too worried about teaching the proper mechanics at this age.
Looking forward to a season of sunshine, spitz, and ball player smiles.
